so nice to see you are visiting my blog even if I'm not too active recently. Many things happened on my way to WBT Certificate that I'm almost overoaled and not knowing how to solve it.
Whatsoever, you have to know that I'm on level 4 of Certification it means that I got over 700 CP points and only 5 Step Lesson Template is to be done. Since many duties appeared WBT lessons are not being developed with new elements, but it's used on the level it was before. So I use Class-yes, Teach-Ok, scoreboard and Super Imporvers. Now I began to prepare the video lesson template. Hope to do it ASAP.
Maybe I'll explain what is 5 SLT first. This is the fragment of the book "WBT for Challenging Kids" Bonus Chapter
Step 1 Question: Ask a question.
Step 2 Answer: Give the answer to the question, in kid friendly language, accompanied by a gesture.
Step 3 Expand: Expand the answer with examples, Brain Toys, diagrams, explanations.
Step 4 Test: Test for comprehension with the Yes-No Way, QT or other tests.
In the Yes-No Way test, the teacher asks a question. For example, “Is ‘boy’ a noun?” If the answer is “yes,” students pump their fists and exclaim “yes!” If the answer is “no” students point their fingers at their foreheads and then extend their arms outward, exclaiming in disbelief, “no way!” The Yes-No Way test provides teachers with a rapid, visual overview of students’ comprehension. A second test used in our 5 step template is the Quick Test, abbreviated
QT. The teacher says, “QT”; students respond, “Cutie!” and cover their eyes. The teacher makes true/false statements. For example, “A noun is a person, place or action word.” If the answer is true, students silently give a thumbs up gesture. If the answer is false, students silently give a thumbs down gesture. QT provides a rapid, clear picture of individual student’s understanding. If 90% of the class passes both tests,
the teacher should go on to Step 5 below. If not, the teacher should cycle back to Step 3 above and reteach the concept with new material.
Step 5 Critical Thinking: The teacher gives students tasks that require they use what they have learned in a critical thinking context. A key component of these tasks often involves writing. Here are some typical assignments.
• Employ the concept in each of the sentence types on the Genius Ladder.
• Write a letter to the aliens on Planet Zork explaining the concept.
• Write several sentences that compare and contrast the current concept (for example, noun) with previous concepts (verb, adjective, preposition)
• Use the current concept in as many sentences as possible that also contain the word “because.” In addition students could explain the concept to their neighbor with a collection of Brain Toys.

bardzo miło wejść na statystyki bloga i zobaczyć, iż mimo mojej nieobecności blog cieszy się waszym zainteresowaniem ;) Od ostatniego mojego wpisu minęło już trochę czasu. Mam dużo pracy, projekty, tłumaczenie książki, kartkówki, sprawdziany, egzamin gimnazjalny i zaszczytne miejsce przewodniczącego komisji egzaminacyjnej (!), wszystko to sprawiło, że WBT stanęło w miejscu. Stanęło, ale nie znaczy, że nie jest praktykowane. Cały czas używam Class-Yes, Taach-OK, scoreboard i SuperImprovers, problem polega na tym, że droga do uzyskania certyfikatu trenera się nieco wydłużyła. Ostatnim elementem jest Video przedstawiające wprowadzenie tematu techniką 5 kroków. Krok 1 Pytanie: Zadaj pytanie.
Krok 2 Odpowiedź: Należy podać odpowiedź na pytanie, w przyjaznym dla dzieci języku używając gestu..
Krok 3 Rozwinięcie: Odpowiedź rozwiń poprzez dodatkowe przykłady, diagramy, prezentacje, grafiki.
Krok 4 Test: Test na zrozumienie (szczegółowy opis wkrótce). Pamiętajcie by taki test był prosty w budowie a odpowiedź uczniów ograniczona do powiedzenia Tak-Nie lub podniesienia ręki, wydania prostego dźwięku.

5 Krytyczne myślenie: nauczyciel daje uczniom zadania wymagające użycia poznanego zagadnienia. Kluczowym elementem tego zadania jest zapisanie odpowiedzi. Oto
kilka typowych zadań.
• Napisz list do kosmitów na planecie Zork
wyjaśniając koncepcję.
• Napisz kilka zdań, które porównać i aktualną
koncepcję (na przykład, czym jest rzeczownik)
z poprzednimi pojęciami (czasownik, przymiotnik, przyimek)
Obecnie jestem na etapie planowania konspektu lekcji, który wyślę do Nancy. Zastanawiam się nad wprowadzeniem mowy zależnej właśnie tą metodą.
