What does it mean?
What is a "Site Leader"?
A site leader is someone who is leading the path of education reform in a school or district. They are a resource to all other staff; a person to go to for assistance and guidance. The Site Leader is the connection between the WBT Executive Board and the school or district.
What should Site Leaders do?
- Provide resources to staff to help them navigate through the WBT strategies.
- WBT Freebies are an excellent way to do this. Encourage each of your colleagues to signup for the Freebies, and then discuss the weekly FREEBIE strategy.
- Perhaps review certain chapters in the Whole Brain Teaching for Challenging Kids book or Whole Brain Teaching: 122 Amazing Games! book
- It may also be helpful to direct staff toward specific resources such as YouTube videos from the WBT YouTube channel, past WBT Webcasts or free eBooks from wholebrainteaching.com.
- Answer questions on an individual or small group basis.
What ISN’T a Site Leader?
A site Leader is NOT a trainer. Site Leaders should not be leading building-wide or district-wide trainings. Only a Certified Trainer is authorized to conduct school-wide or district trainings on behalf of Whole Brain Teaching.
